Born in Rome, Georgia, Chase's family moved to the town of Grant, near Lake Guntersville in Alabama, when he was 11-years-old.

Chase has autism and is nonverbal.  He communicates by writing, with the aid of his tablet, and of course through his art.

Chase lost his Dad to cancer in 2016. His art has always been a connection to his Dad,  a shared legacy. The first drawings Chase colored had been rendered by his father’s hand.

Chase graduated from the Kate Duncan Smith, Daughters of the American Revolution school (KDS-DAR) in Grant, AL in 2014.  He started there in the sixth grade. Chase has been blessed to be nurtured by amazing teachers and an equally amazing community.

Chase works full time at his shop in Grant.  He enjoys volunteering in his community and church.  Chase finds joy in bringing joy to others.

And of course, he plans to make more art.

Chase is often inspired by the season, and he enjoys all types of art.

This past Christmas Chase made and gave away over 1000 Christmas ornaments, and over the course of the past year sent more than 1500 cards.

Chase has won several awards for his art, both locally and nationally, but Chase doesn’t do it for the accolades. He does it for the joy that his work brings to others.

With a heart full of love and a creative spirit, Chase continues to create.

Chase creates for the joy of creating … and for the joy his creations bring.
